Arun plan

THERE is to be a new Arun plan (how many have we had?) and councillor Ricky Bower should not be so timid in his proposals.

A second bypass for Littlehampton, and a second bypass for Arundel?

And one or two new housing estates. Trivial.

Why not go the whole hog and end the suspense?

A motorway through the middle would be much more efficient, from Brighton across to Chichester and beyond. A few untidy old villages may need to go, such as at Lyminster and Yapton, but half-measures are foolish.

Link this with another motorway north through the Arun valley to Crawley.

Then, town plan all the area south of the coastal plain motorway.

This could be a new “Great Wen”, like London.

We all know technology has the answer to everything today.
