DANCERS from Wick had plenty to cheer about after winning a sizeable haul of trophies at a national competition.
Cheerleading group the Outlaw Allstars took a first and second place at the International Coalition Cheerleading Mardi Gras contest in Guildford this month.
A squad of 22 took the journey with the senior teams’ routine earning them the coveted top spot while the 17 girls from the youth contingent took a well-deserved second place in their age group.
The club was formed three months ago. Chairman Karen Finneran said she was ‘so proud’ of them all: “The coaches Lara Dumbleton and Grace Finneran, along with parents, were in tears after their outstanding performances. The girls and coaches have worked hard since December and have done us proud.”
The group is based at the Lineside Industrial Estate. For details, email email@example.com
