ACTOR and comedian Hugh Dennis has been passing on his wisdom to ambitious students in Angmering today (Wednesday, January 8).
Teens from The Angmering School flocked to have their photos with the celebrity, who is better known for starring in the hit BBC show, Outnumbered, and topical TV panel show, Mock The Week.
Hugh spent the morning talking to Year-10 before offering advice and tips to budding young writers and comedians during a creative writing workshop.
The day was organised by the school’s English department, who approached education charity Speakers For Schools to arrange the special visit.
Hugh said he was happy to visit Angmering and promised he would continue to offer a critical eye on draft scripts for sitcoms written by the school’s creative writing group.
He explained: “This is something I really enjoy getting involved in.
“It’s going in and talking to the children about the world that I work in, really.
“It’s something that I’m really passionate about and it’s a great chance for the students to see that they can get into acting or the media if they put their mind to it.
“They don’t necessarily need to be academically gifted, they just need the drive to start from the bottom and work their way up.”
