VIDEO: Aftermath of the head-on crash near Arundel

VIDEO footage of the aftermath of today’s (July 15) head-on crash near Arundel has shown the scale of the damage inflicted upon both cars.

The footage was shot by freelance photo journalist Eddie Mitchell and shows the crumpled remains of the two cars, which collided on the A284 London Road, north of Arundel, earlier this morning.

Two men were injured in the incident.

However, neither of them are thought to have sustained life-threatening injuries, police have said.

The driver of the blue Ford Fiesta involved in the collision and was trapped and had to be freed by firefighters.

While the other driver was able to get out of his car, a Toyota Auris, unaided.

Both men have been taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.

Anyone who saw the crash or who noticed either vehicle being driven shortly before it occurred is asked to email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting serial 122 of 15/7.
