BRITISH Transport Police arrested a man for trespassing on the railway line at a crossing close to Chichester railway station this morning.

Officers arrested the 35-year-old man from Chichester on suspicion of obstructing the railway. He is currently in police custody.

Rail services between Barnham and Havant were disrupted from 7.40am until 8.20am while the incident was being resolved.
