Man ‘seriously injured’ in car collision

A man has sustained serious injuries in a collision with a car, police have said.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said officers received a call at just after 5.30pm this evening with reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Marshall Avenue, Bognor Regis.

At least six vehicles were sent to the scene, and police confirmed that the ambulance service also attended.

Reports were confirmed on arrival and the male pedestrian, who had sustained serious injuries, was taken to hopsital, police said.

Marshall Avenue was closed and remains shut at the time of writing, with several police units still at the scene.
