POLICE in Littlehampton were hunting for a wanted man last night (Friday, May 18).
About a dozens officers were involved in the search, which took place in and around Norfolk Road, between 10.30pm and midnight.
A Sussex Police spokesman has released a statement following speculation from locals that a stabbing had taken place in the area, due to the heightened activity.
The spokesman said: “I can confirm that we have received no reports of a stabbing in the Littlehampton area, taking place last night.
“Officers were engaged in a search for a wanted person as part of an on-going enquiry.”
