Cash help on offer to Littlehampton groups

GRANTS for voluntary clubs and organisations holding cultural, charitable and sporting activities in Littlehampton are being encouraged to apply for funding from the town council.

They could be in line for a much-needed cash boost, thanks to the council’s grant aid scheme.

Councillor Joyce Bowyer, chairman of the community resources committee, said: “The town council actively encourages groups and organisations to apply for grants. We recognise their needs and goals and wish to help this sector in achieving its objectives.”

The council will take into account the objectives of the association and the degree of benefit to Littlehampton arising from the grant, when assessing its priorities.

The closing date for applications is May 11, and application forms are available from Rosie Parfitt, community resources manager for the town council, at the Manor House, Church Street, telephone 01903 732063 or email rosie.parfitt@littlehampton-tc.gov.uk.
