Fundraising with Guide Dogs
Fundraising with Guide Dogs

Sussex Community NHS Trust is the specialist provider of community health and care services to the people of West Sussex and Brighton & Hove.

They are looking for volunteers to take a small trolley around the wards in the hospital so patients can purchase small sundries.

This is a new service for patients and they hope to set it up in the afternoons. You will be needed for two hours once a week.

Guide Dogs is a charity which provides guide dogs and rehabilitation services for blind and partially sighted people to enable them to make the best use of their mobility.

They are looking for a person who is interested in helping to coordinate the activities of people in a local social fundraising group.

This would include organising meeting up on a semi-regular basis at a convenient location to put together ideas for fundraising, to socialise as well as coordinating the group efforts in raising money through events or other activities.

The person who takes on this role will need to be passionate about being a local ambassador for Guide Dog’s work, with excellent organisational and communication skills.

Any previous experience of planning or organisation, coordination of people or fundraising is always welcome.

Littlehampton Social Club for the Blind & Partially Sighted aims to bring blind and partially sighted people together for a social afternoon, to stop them feeling isolated at home.

They also help with obtaining help from 4Sight for any equipment, including talking books, and can also help with letter writing.

General helpers/car drivers are needed to collect one or two members and bring them to the club and return them home.

Drivers are requested to use their own vehicle (mileage allowance paid).

Link to Hope is a Christian charity based in Worthing who rebuild lives and communities in Eastern Europe through social care and education projects.

They are looking for more volunteers to work as part of a warm and welcoming team in their shops in Littlehampton and Rustington.

There are a number of roles available within the shops, so whether you have budding creative skills for displaying and making up outfits, have a passion for books, music or china, would enjoy preparing and merchandising all types of stock, as well as serving and talking to customers, it all goes towards the overall goals of raising funds.

They would love you to come and join the team.

The Look and Sea Centre aims to provide a first class experience for visitors to, and residents of, Littlehampton, capitalising on its unique position on the bend of the River Arun.

They are looking for adults of any age who are interested in assisting school visits and children’s holiday workshops or acting as a guide for the “Littlehampton Experience” Heritage Exhibition.

Volunteers may offer as little or as much help as they wish and this can vary from time to time according to their personal wishes.

If local history and helping people interests you, then volunteering at the Look and Sea Centre would be an ideal choice.
