Members would be required to assist at local fundraising events throughout the year such as fetes, carnivals and Christmas collections.

Cancer United is a local community support group for anyone whose lives have been affected by cancer, whether patients or their family or friends.
They are there to help people whenever they need from diagnosis onwards, providing a place to share information and get help and advice about treatment options and coping with treatment.
As well as providing a place to share information so that members may benefit from peer-to-peer support and get help and advice about treatment options and coping with treatment; their main mission is to help people focus positively on moving forward with their lives whilst offering a variety of complimentary therapies and fun activities.
With this in mind, their major focus at present is on the upcoming project ‘C U Fitter’, for which they are fundraising in various different capacities, so that they may build a specialised gym to begin an innovative cancer rehabilitation programme for members through exercise and fitness, as having a strong mind and body are vital for anyone in recovery.
A volunteer fundraiser is required to help them raise the funds needed to put this project in place.
