VOLUNTEER COLUMN: Give time to something you care about

If you care about something, whether that’s animals, the environment or a particular group of people, why not volunteer some of your time to help?

Even a small amount of time from you can contribute to huge benefits to your chosen cause.

You can find lots of other organisations that need your help at www.do-it.org.

Companions are needed to spend time with people living in the community who would like to go out on social outings or spend time having a chat and discussions.

Qualifications are not required – a caring, positive and respectful attitude is much more important.
