A care home has marked a milestone anniversary with some noble guests.

St. Wilfrid’s Priory in Arundel celebrated its 40th anniversary with a party attended by the Duke and Duchess of Norfolk on Friday.

The residential care home, which is part of The Orders of St John Care Trust, adjoins Arundel Castle, which is the seat of the duke and duchess.

Cutting the cake was resident Irene Tanner, helped by Kevin Hall, group operations director of the care trust.

The Mayor of Arundel, James Stewart, and Lady Herries of Terregles, the founder of the home, were also in attendance.
