FOUR members of the 1st Angmering Scouts were honoured at an annual awards ceremony for ‘doing their best’.
The awards, in four different categories, were established by the Scout group 14 years ago in memory of Yvonne Heater, who helped at the group for almost 38 years.
On Friday, Yvonne’s daughter Sharon Francis presented the awards at the group’s Fletcher’s Field headquarters and told the winners they would not be receiving it because they were the best, but because they had done their best. She said her mother had taught her that and she had never forgotten it.
The winners were, pictured from left, with Sharon, Thomas Hartigan, Ciaran Murphy, Tristan Pender and Joe Thornton.
