A NON-executive director of Shoreham Port has taken a step-up to a new role to ‘steer the strategic direction’ of the facility.
Stuart Condie, who has worked at the port since 2011, has been appointed deputy chairman, following an election process.
He takes over from Fiona Morris, who has stepped down, but will remain on the board.
A new deputy chairman is traditionally appointed each year.
Mr Condie will be tasked with overseeing the port’s progress in the coming year.
He said: “I am looking forward to the opportunities of the role and working closely with the chairman of the board.
“The port operates in a very challenging market and I look forward to building on its successes and helping the business to continue to thrive.”
Chairman of the board James May added: “Stuart brings a wealth of experience to the role, with an in-depth knowledge of transportation infrastructure, commercial expertise and financial acumen.
“Having held many other non-executive director posts, Stuart is well placed to help steer the strategic direction of the port.”
