Pole to pole pair take to the sea
CHRIST'S Hospital's intrepid pole to pole explorers have launched the dangerous sailing leg of their epic pole to pole journey.
Former class mates Rob Gauntlett and James Hooper, both 20, contacted the County Times as they prepared to leave The Falklands Islands yesterday (Sunday March 2).
The pair will sail on the final leg of their mission to Antarctica after they completed the skiing section from the north pole to the edge of the ice cap and the cycling section which saw them take on the entire length of North and South America.
James said: "I would like to say a huge thank you to the group of extraordinarily dedicated supporters who have allowed us the opportunity to complete this expedition."
