CARDIAC patients who are working their way back to fitness have shown their gratitude to the hospital which set them on the road to recovery.

Members of the rehabilitation group for pensioners run by Sampson Fitness at the Angmering Community Centre took part in a sponsored fitness class in aid of Worthing Hospital’s ‘Love Your Hospital’ charity.

The work-out, part of their Christmas party, raised about £150 for the charity .

All the members were sporting festive outfits for the occasion, and some took part in a comedy dance routine to entertain the others.

Sarah Sampson, of Sampson Fitness, presented certificates for the greatest achievers in the class – people who have helped others the most during 2012. They went to Pat Taylor and Sheila Cripps, and to Alan Woods, the longest-serving first aider with the group.

After refreshments, the fun continued with a quiz organised by Richard Stanfield.
