A DANCER from Wick said she has had the ‘opportunity of a lifetime’ as she readies herself to perform in tonight’s live semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent (Wednesday, May 28).
Maddie Stephens, 24, is set to take to the stage to perform in the live broadcast on ITV1 – that is expected to draw millions of viewers from across the UK.
Maddie, of Holmes Way, is part of the raunchy burlesque group Crazy Rouge, which wowed judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon during the audition stage of the competition.
The act, which is made up of top dancers from across the UK, was given the thumbs up from all four judges during their performance at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.
Maddie, a former student at The Angmering School, said: “It was the most amazing feeling I’ve ever had while performing.
“It’s a massive theatre and it was completely full. So, seeing all those people and on top of that the four judges was just crazy.”
Since Maddie’s performance first aired earlier this month, her act’s display has chalked up more than 600,000 hits on website YouTube.
