CHARITABLE rockers in Arundel have hit all the right notes for a Sussex-based charity for blind people.

Rock band The Alternatives, who perform to raise money for local charities and St Nicholas Church Arundel, this week donated £1,000 to the West Sussex wing of 4Sight.

The cheque was presented to the cause at a charity party, at Highdown Vineyard, where The Alternatives provided the entertainment.

A further £1,200 was raised on the evening.

The six-piece group formed in 2005 and is comprised of members and friends of the St Nicholas Church congregation.

They regularly hold gigs for various good causes.
