Acting heavyweight Knotty strips for TV's Tricia
LITTLEHAMPTON actor Michael Knott thought noting of letting it all hang out on daytime TV.
Michael, or "Knotty" as he prefers to be known, appeared on Channel Five's Tricia Goddard show on Friday (November 2), showing that you don't have to be thin to enjoy your life.
Knotty makes his living as a large actor, getting parts a skinnier man wouldn't.
"The show was about fat people coping with being fat. I am a 17 stone fat actor, and my size is how I get work.
"Another guest was a night club owner who said he wouldn't go out with a woman larger than a size 8. I was a plant in the audience, and stripped to my underpants."
The show gave practical advice, from dieticians and personal trainers, on losing weight.
"But it also looked at the fact that being fat is not the end of the world."
Knotty, something of a local celebrity, has appeared in The Bill and Eastenders. He was also the Tango man, in the banned 2000 advert.
He was featured in the Littlehampton Gazette earlier this year, after landing the role of John Prescott's bum, in the television drama Confessions of a Diary Secretary.
He was called in at the last minute as a bottom double for lead John Henshaw, who decided that he did not want to bare all.
