Littlehampton Sounds is set to showcase youngsters' musical talent

Skilled youngsters from Littlehampton are set to enjoy a chance to showcase their musical talent.

Rhythmix, a music charity, is putting on a free, all-ages showcase of the best local youth music in Littlehampton on April 1.

The event, called Littlehampton Sounds, will present music from the best young vocal artists, bands, producers and beatmakers in the Littlehampton area.

Sussex’s acclaimed Steel Pan group Sussex Steel will be performing. More acts and performer details to be are to announced over coming weeks.

Littlehampton Sounds will also have a special guest UK Grime artist EYEZ performing new and exclusive material appropriate for all ages.

Eyez’s interest in music began at an early age. Born Isaac Elijah Branford, the grime MC started rapping when he was just 11. At 14, he performed at a Lethal Bizzle gig in front of thousands of people. Now 23, he has an increasingly strong following. He is not opposed to experimenting with different sounds, and releases what he deems to be his “more mature” tracks as Elijah Eyez.

The event will take place from 7-10pm at The Windmill Entertainment Centre, Windmill Road, Littlehampton.

The event is free, and all ages are welcome.

Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult.

No tickets are required.

Rhythmix is a charity that provides the opportunity for thousands of young people each year to have the chance to enrich their lives through music.

This event is presented by Rhythmix in partnership with West Sussex Music, Littlehampton Academy, Freedom Leisure, APC West Sussex, and Youth Music.

The project is funded by Youth Music, the Young person’s music charity set up in 1999 to promote music making opportunities and to provide advice to those with the least access.
