Two men are being sought in connection with a burglary in Littlehampton in which a large number of items were stolen.

The property in Lyminster Road was broken into around 7.20pm on Sunday, September 6, according to police.

Among the items taken was jewellery, electrical items and a laptop computer.

Police are appealing for witnesses and believe there are at least two suspects.

The first is described as an olive skinned man, aged in his mid 20s, with dark hair and wearing a white baseball cap and dark top.

The second suspect is also described as an olive skinned man of a similar age who was wearing a dark hooded jacket.

Detective Constable Gavin Percival said: “This is a serious offence committed on a busy road.

“We know that there were at least two men involved and that they got into a vehicle, described as a green people carrier, before driving away.

“If anyone saw anything at all I would be grateful if they could contact me.

“I am particularly keen to speak to the member of public who saw the vehicle and stopped to inform the attending police officers.”

Any witness or anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting serial 1276 of 6/9. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
