INSPIRATIONAL people gathered for the annual Herald and Gazette Community Stars awards at an emotional ceremony last night (Thursday, November 13).

Residents from across the area were awarded for their bravery, charity and kindness at the ceremony at Worthing Dome, in Marine Parade.

First-time host Kevin King, Splash FM breakfast show host, said: “We have so many wonderful people in our communities who go above and beyond to help others, even if it means putting themselves out.

“Many of these people don’t even realise what stars they are and that is why these awards are so special.”

From charity fundraisers, brave children and caring neighbours were recognised at the awards, across a range of categories.

For a full report, see the Herald and Gazette, out Thursday, November 20.
