A woman has been charged with blackmail after six horses had their tails and manes cut in Shoreham, police have said.

A statement from Sussex Police said Kirsty Geoghegan, 24, of Isabel Crescent, Hove, is due to appear appear at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on July 19.

It added the incident happened some time overnight from Friday, January 29, to Saturday, January 30, at Buddy’s Yard, Steyning Road, under the Adur Flyover. Four of the horses were in a field and two were in a stable. None of the horses were hurt.
