A FISH farmer in Ford had his truck stolen – after leaving the keys in the vehicle’s ignition.

The incident took place in Ford Lane, on May 6, police announced this week.

The fish farmer had left the pickup truck unattended while he worked in a field.

However, when he returned not only was the truck missing, but also a wallet containing about £800 that had been left in it, too.

A spokesman for Sussex Police has since issued a warning to other vehicle owners to ‘never leave things of value in an unattended vehicle and never leave ignition keys in them’.

Witnesses or those with details on this crime can call 101 quoting serial 0915.
