COMMUTERS face continued train delays as emergency engineering work continues at Ford.

The work is forecast to be completed by 11pm but in the meantime passengers still face cancellations and delays.

Stagecoach 700 buses have been accepting train tickets between Brighton and Portsmouth Harbour all day.

On the roads, the Chichester bypass remains busy as of 6.20pm, however there do not appear to be any major delays throughout West Sussex.

Patches of congestion have been reported in the usual areas around Arundel and Worthing. Traffic is still slow along the stretch of A27 at Shoreham where the air show tragedy occurred on August 22 as repair work continues.

The A23 and M23 appear to be running smoothly in both directions.
