A-Level results: The Angmering School

The Angmering School have achieved '˜outstanding' results on A-Level and BTEC results day this morning.

Over 40 per cent of students from the Station Road school achieved grades A*-B – 41 per cent – and a number of students received distinction in their BTECS.

This year, 75 per cent of students entered achieved grades A*-C

In all, 42 students – 58 per cent – received confirmed offers from universities and one student, Arran Collis, achieved three A*’s to get into Cambridge.

For headteacher, David Brixey, this was his last results day with the school.

He said: “The students did extremely well and we are so pleased with all of them.

“We saw a lot of success in the A-Level results and BTECs, but we are especially pleased with the results in our vocational entry-level exams.

“It is emotional for me as this is my last results day and I have known some of these students for seven or eight years.

“It is amazing seeing one of our students head off to Cambridge and so many other fantastic results.

“They should all be very pleased with their results.”
