HM Courts Service: Results list for February 6 to 10, 2017

Darren Burdfield, 34, of Barnet Way, Durrington, must pay £325 compensation and £85 costs after admitting damaging a tv aerial on a roof in Salvington on December 24, 2016.

Sean Clarke, 21, of Newland Road, Worthing, was given a community order with Alcohol Treatment Requirement and Rehabilitation Activity Requirement after admitting assaulting a detention officer at Worthing Custody Centre on July 24, 2016; and damaging a vehicle in Worthing on July 24, 2016, an offence the court found was racially aggravated. He must pay a total of £280.46 compensation, £85 victim surcharge, £625 costs, and was given a restraining order.

Sergei Primakov, 45, of Marine Place, Worthing, was given a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for two years, with Alcohol Treatment Requirement, after admitting breaching a restraining order in Worthing on May 7, 2016. He must pay £115 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Christopher Chambers, 30, of Norfolk House, Chapel Road, Worthing, was given a 20-week prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement, and must carry out 160 hours’ unpaid work after admitting fraud by false representation involving nearly £4,000, by using a mobile phone to credit his own gambling accounts, in Lancing between October 12, 2016, and December 15, 2016. He must pay £3,937.84 compensation, £115 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Warren Coughlan, 53, of The Marigolds, Shripney Road, Bognor Regis, was given a community order with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and must carry out 100 hours’ unpaid work after admitting stealing five litres of Mobil Oil worth £49.99 from Regis Service Station on July 17, 2016; and steal 17 packets of meat worth £69 from Morrisons on January 21, 2017. He must pay £49.99 compensation, £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Stephen Cummings, 27, of Brookside Avenue, Rustington, was fined £120 and must pay £30 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drug-driving (212ug/L benzoylecgonine) in Brookside Avenue, Rustington, on November 29, 2016. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Paul Hoolickin, 45, of Helyers Green, Wick, was given a four-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, after admitting stealing various items of food and alcohol worth £185 from Tesco, Littlehampton, on January 18,2017. He must pay £115 victim surcharge and £85 costs. He admitted breaching a suspended sentence order, which was varied to include a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. He also admitted breaching two conditional discharge orders, no action taken.

Brian Silcock, 68, of Meadow Sweet Close, Worthing, was fined £80 and must pay £30 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting failing to stop after an accident in which another person was injured in The Boulevard, Goring, on September 1, 2016. His driving record was endorsed with five points.

John Axworthy, 36, of Guildford Road, Tarring, was fined £700 and must pay £70 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drink-driving (93mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Guildford Road, Tarring, on January 22, 2017. He was disqualified from driving for 23 months.

Jeremy Forbes, 66, of Granville Road, Littlehampton, was discharged conditionally for 12 months and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting assault by beating in Littlehampton on October 2, 2016.

Marc Ashton, 36, of Pilgrims Walk, Worthing, was fined £60 and given a restraining order after admitting assault by beating in Worthing on September 18, 2016. He must pay £30 victim surcharge and £500 costs. He also admitted using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Worthing on September 18, 2016, no separate penalty.

Dovile Narutyte, 27, of Pilgrims Walk, Tarring, was discharged conditionally for nine months and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting disorderly behaviour while drunk in High Street, Shoreham, on January 24, 2017.

Jonathan Spragg, 31, of Penhill Road, Lancing, was fined £153 and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £120 costs, after admitting using a colour television without a licence on April 7, 2016.

Mark Lynch, 53, of Shadwells Road, Lancing, was discharged conditionally for six months and must pay £15 victim surcharge, £517.15 costs, after being found guilty of being the director of a company known by the prohibited name Assured Security Guarding between May 7, 2014, and September 9, 2016, while subject to the Insolvency Act 1986.

Val St John Capon, 62, of Selden Lane, Patching, was discharged conditionally for six months and must pay £15 victim surcharge, £517.15 costs, after being found guilty of being the director of a company known by the prohibited name Assured Security Guarding between May 7, 2014, and September 9, 2016, while subject to the Insolvency Act 1986.

Renee Taylor, 34, of Ellis Close, Arundel, was fined £120 and must pay £30 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting driving without insurance in Clun Road, Littlehampton, on May 1, 2015. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

Hasanin Ahmed, 33, of Rochester Close, Worthing, was discharged conditionally for 12 months and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £1,000 costts, after admitting four charges of breaching the Trade Marks Act, by selling a bag, purse, belt and messenger bag with signs likely to be mistaken for a Louis Vuitton Malletier registered trade mark; and possessing miscellaneous items of a similar nature.

Matthew Rees, 23, of Clifton Road, Littlehampton, was fined £53 and must pay £30 victim surcharge, £50 costs, after admitting being the registered owner of a vehicle that did not meet insurance requirements in Worthing on June 15, 2016.

Daniel Woulfe, 56, of Rugby Road, Worthing, was fined £500 after admitting failing to ensure all means of escape from fire were kept in good order in a house in multiple occupation which he managed. He was fined £500 after admitting failing to protect occupiers from injury, as the fire separation between flat is inadequate, escape from fire is through high risk areas and space being used as sleeping accommodation is too small to be classed as such. He was fined £500 after admitting failing to provide certificates for electrical inspections. He was fined £250 after admitting failing to ensure internal structures were maintained in good repair. He was fined at total of £1,000 after admitting four charges of failing to comply with an operative improvement notice. He was fined £500 and must pay £50 victim surcharge, £2,811.95 costs, after admitting eletrical installations were not properly installed. He was fined £500 after admitting failing to ensure every electrical installation has been inspected. He was fined £500 after admitting firefighting equipment and alarms are maintained in good working order.
