As a fundraising champion you will work mainly in your own community and will have the huge satisfact ion of organising events and co-ordinating other volunteers with the full support of the fundraising co-ordinator and other champions.

It is also a great opportunity to get out and about and meet lots of people; you will be able to chat to them and raise awareness of what Wadars do and you can go home knowing that you have made a real difference.

Adult volunteer ‘reading buddies’ will be paired with children at the school, and work with them to help develop their reading.

The children read aloud and their reading buddy can help them relate to new words or concepts, instilling a love of books which it is hoped will stay with the children throughout their lives.

Time commitment to carry out this valuable task can be negotiable.
