Minister hears pleas to bolster Arun’s economy

VITAL issues about Arun’s economy have been put to a Government minister.

West Sussex County Council leader Louise Goldsmith and other council leaders met with Eric Pickles to discuss the future of the A27 in Arundel and superfast broadband in the area and how improvements would benefit the county.

Mrs Goldsmith urged the minister to recognise improvements were “much-needed”.

She said: “The visit was the ideal chance for Eric Pickles to see first-hand the measures we are all taking to support the local economy and drive economic growth in our local areas and across the south.”
