ARUN District Council is planning to freeze its tax for the fourth year in a row.

A special council meeting to be held on Wednesday, February 19, is recommended to approve a freeze of the council tax.

This means Band D council tax would remain at £161.37 per year.

However, rents for council tenants are likely to increase, on average, by nearly five per cent.

That is because central Government is restructuring its rent methodology for council tenants, which means rents will increase, on average, by 4.6 per cent.
