Appeal for information after assault at Angmering Railway Station

POLICE are appealing for information to an assault which happened at Angmering Railway Station.

On Monday (October 1), at around 4pm the victim, a 29-year-old man from Littlehampton, had left the 700 bus travelling from Littlehampton when he was approached and punched to his head and body by another man who had been travelling on the bus.

The victim suffered from a cut to the head and was left shaken.

PC Joanna Duncan, of West Sussex Response Investigation Team, said: “We believe there were other people in the area when the assault happened who may have witnessed the incident and we are keen to hear from them.”

The suspect is described as white, with olive skin and black short hair which was gelled. It is believed he had a northern accent and a small amount of stubble. He was wearing a beige coloured, waist-length jacket and had jeans and trainers on. He was of medium build, around 5ft 9in tall and in his late 20s or early 30s.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1143 of 1/10 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
