Rustington woman killed by road crash

AN 85-year-old woman who died after being hit by a car in Worthing was from Rustington.
Elizabeth Middleton, of The Leas, collided with a blue Vauxhall Astra saloon at the junction of Goring Road and George V Avenue, just before 2pm last Tuesday (December 22).

She was airlifted to Kings College Hospital, south London, by the
Surrey air ambulance, with serious head injuries, but later died.

The driver, a 67-year-old Worthing woman, was not hurt.

Anyone who saw the collision is asked to contact Sussex police on 0845 60 70 999, quoting Operation Hasfield.
