YOUR votes count!

That's the message to television viewers who could help Angmering to win the funding for a new, state-of-the-art skatepark.

The parish council's bid for an £80,000 lottery grant to build a skate park, has made it to the final stages and will be decided by a public vote live on television.

A camera crew was filming in the village this week and the footage will be screened on the Meridian Tonight news programme, on November 28, when Angmering's project will be featured.

Angmering will be pitted against a rival youth project, in Christchurch, Dorset, and the winner on the night will walk away with the funding.

Ray Huskisson, clerk of the parish council, said: "Obviously, we want as many people as possible to vote for us."
