A HAIRY week for Littlehampton lifeboat crews saw them rescue four dogs from the River Arun.
They were launched to rescue Fletcher, who was stranded on a shingle bank, at 10.19am on Monday (February 8), Amber and Searling, who were struggling in the water, at 4.37pm on Friday, and Moffy, who was also stranded, at 3.43pm on Saturday.

Nick White, launching authority at the station said: "As always with these shouts our main concern is that the owners don't put their own lives at risk by jumping in to rescue their pets.

"The River Arun runs very quickly, and the harbour entrance is particularly treacherous."
