SONGS from schooldays will feature in the annual prom concert being given by the Edwin James Festival Choir and Orchestra at Littlehampton.
This year's concert, the 10th, has the theme Kids R Us, with the first half dedicated to childhood favourites such as Christopher Robin is Saying His Prayers, Teachers' Pet and To Sir With Love.

Choir members will be suitably dressed in school uniforms and outfits for teachers, the headmaster, school cook and nurse.

After the interval, the Teddy Bears' Picnic and Sing a Song of Sixpence continue the theme, before the orchestra launches into traditional prom music including Jerusalem, Fantasia on British Sea Songs, Land of Hope and Glory and Sussex by the Sea, with soprano Lyn Rendle in her 10th appearance as Britannia.

Everyone in the audience will be given a Union Jack to wave and there will be lots of opportunities to join in the singing and raise the roof.

The concert takes place at St James the Great Church, East Ham Road, on Saturday, July 26, at 7.30pm and tickets, price £6, will be available on the door or can be reserved by telephone on 01243 582330.

Donations from the proceeds will be made to the National Children's Homes and Girlguiding Littlehampton.
