A TEENAGER was hit in the face and verbally abused in Storrington on Saturday night (November 15).
The assault happened at about 7pm near the shopping precinct at Old Mill Square.

The 16-year-old boy was with friends and had parked his motorcycle in the car park near Somerfield to get money from a cashpoint.

A gang of six to eight youths was standing close by.

When he got back, he found one of the gang sitting on his motorcycle and some of the youths started shouting abuse at him.

Two of them hit him which left him with facial injuries.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the assault or for anyone with information to contact PC Burt at Pulborough Police Station quoting serial 1637 of November 15, 2008.
