Dramatic drop in Cranleigh crime

RURAL crimes in the area have dropped from 'three or four a week to one a month', according to local police in Cranleigh.

Speaking to wscountytimes.co.uk this week, neighbourhood officer John Hockley reiterated the success of the Farmwatch scheme, which he set up in 2006 to combat the growing number of rural crimes.

PC Hockley said: "We are continuing to do our night time operations and I'm happy to say there haven't been any incidents reported recently.
