DEL BOY swapped his Reliant van for a helicopter when he became patron of the Association of Air Ambulances.
The group's members include the Sussex Air Ambulance which rescues people across the county.

Sir David Jason is a keen helicopter pilot himself took an interest in the Air Ambulances when he visited.

He said: "They save many lives and improve the outcome of hundreds of others unfortunate enough to be involved in accidents and medical emergencies."

The Association of Air Ambulances provides a forum for 18 charities, which include the Sussex, Surrey and Kent Air Ambulance, who provide cover across the South East.
