Were those 23 carrier bags really necessary?

I HAVE a few points to make with regards to recycling (yes, again!).
Firstly, I had my shopping delivered the other week and was stunned that the shop in question felt it neccesary to use 23, yes 23, carrier bags!

Some of the bags had only one or two items in them.

I would have needed 10 at most (I reuse mine).

Why is this? Maybe I could be given the answer through this paper.

Secondly, why are manufacturers still making envelopes with windows in when that part is not recyclable?

I know lots of people who don't recycle them because they can't be bothered to tear out the window.

Lastly, through your paper I would like to let people know of a great website that allows you to recycle through reuse.

The address is www.freecycle.org and costs nothing to register.

You advertise items you no longer need, or request items you would like.

You cannot charge but it is a great way to get rid of unwanted items and keep them out of landfill, and as they say, one man's junk is another man's treasure.
