REGARDING this Utopian vision of Littlehampton, we have heard it all before, or at least part of it.
When The Body Shop was establishing itself, mention was made of a railway station at Wick, and that was as far as it got.
For the benefit of the many newcomers to the area, such a station existed until 1863, when the branch line to Littlehampton a
rrived at Terminus Road. The Wick station site remained occupied with the remnants, until the 1980s.
As far as a bridge over the railway at Toddington is concerned, this surely is a non-starter, as there are many crossings along this section of the line still waiting for such a bridge.
