I WOULD like to take this opportunity to thank all the competing teams in the dragon boat racing at the Arun View on Sunday, July 20.
It was a fantastic day, with 10 teams taking part from within the community and further afield.

Congratulations must go to HMS Phillippa (the Littlehampton Swimming and Sports Centre team) for winning once again this year, in a very close-run fin
al against Littlehampton Rugby Club.

The main winner on the day was the RNLI, which will receive a cheque for £2,100, the total collected so far.

I would also like to extend my thanks to Paul Crease, landlord of the Arun View, for hosting another successful event and who, with all his team, laid on a fantastic disco and hog roast.

I look forward to another dragon boat event next summer, so watch out for the posters, and get in training now!

Keith Croft,
event organiser,
dragon boat racing,
Beacon Way,
Littlehampton
