So much support has kept Nemo's afloat

I WOULD like to say a huge thank-you to everyone who has supported Nemo's swim school in the past few months.
On starting my venture, I did not wish things to turn out the way they did.

I didn't mean any disrespect to neighbours, in fact I did write to all close neighbours a letter about what I was doing, and apart from two, everybody else was in full support, and indeed still are.

Most of all, I would like to thank Rachel and Jamie for their support, without which Nemo's would not have begun, or be the success it is today.

I am just so glad I can continue to provide a service that is loved by so many proud parents and grandparents. I am proud of all my little swimmers who have done so well so far at Nemo's, and most of them will continue with Nemo's for years to come.

I guess some things you just cannot win, and using a pool in a private house is one of them.

Even though it was such a wonderful place and setting, heaven forbid children enjoying themselves and learning a life-saving skill.

I have been left feeling a bit sad about the way I was treated during my application for the change of use.

I had very little support from the council, apart from councillor Ian Buckland, who, I have to say, was a real trouper, giving up his time and efforts whenever I called.

In a time when we are trying to give our children a good start and help them stay fit and healthy for a better life, I have to ask the question, why was it so wrong to use the pool?

I have worked hard to find other pools and now have three within schools in this area, so all is not lost.

Last, but no means least, I thank Tuesday Webb, my teacher, and all my clients, family and friends.

Without you I may have sunk.

Julie Roll, Woodlands Avenue, Rustington
