I'M sure your readers would prefer to hear the views of a resident of Bramley Green on the proposed community centre, than those express by David Biss, of Climping (Gazette letters, July 24).
We have lived very happily at Bramley Green for more than five years and we were fully aware of the position of the centre, in fact we can't wait for it to be built.
The central position is ideal for locals walking to the centre.
What about mum
s and dads with young children in buggies? It's quite a tricky walk into the centre of Angmering, whichever route you take.
Also, many of my neighbours are retired and would welcome a walk to a centre near them for a cup of tea or coffee, and to be able to join in a wide range of activities, which we will all have a say in what we want.
All the complaining boils down to "not in my back yard" syndrome.
Please, let's get this wonderful community centre built, so we can all get involved in making it a facility we can all be proud of, and ensure that it's fully used by our local community.
Gillian Archer,
Oakwood Drive,
Bramley Green,
AngmeringNOTE: All letters must include a name and address which can be witheld by request.
