Pavement parking

IT did not take long for residents of the new Elysian Fields development at Toddington to start parking on the pavements.
When building work started, we all complained about the width of the road into Toddington Lane from the A259 Worthing Road.

The corner is especially difficult for two cars to pass, and now they have started to park on the pavement, as we all expe
cted them to do, since most residents have more than one car, sometimes three per household.

This road was just too narrow to start, with barely enough room for two cars to pass, even without people parking half on the roads.

Just when will these builders and councillors realise that if we are having to put up with all these housing estates being built, at least have the common sense to build the roads wide enough for the traffic, and provide enough spaces for all these cars to park off the roads?
