IT WAS good to read of all the charity events which took place on September 13, but there was another which was not mentioned, namely Ride and Stride, in aid of historic churches and other churches of the participants' choice.
A number of people in the area were sponsored and rode their bicycles or walked from church to church to raise money for what is part of our heritage.

Many other people gave up their time to be on duty at the churches involved in this event.
