REFERRING to the present financial and economic times we live in, my poor old granny, who passed away many years ago, must have been a very astute woman.
When she died and the house was cleared, £50 was found beneath the mattress of the bed she slept in, her only worldly wealth.

I can remember that she always said she didn't trust banks and, with the current monetary crises, she must have known something we didn't know.
