HOW very sad that ONE, possibly Arundel, resident can hold so much sway with the Highways Agency regarding the removal of the Scuttle-Heads (Gazette, August 28).
I suggest that if the resident thinks those spiders could scare today's children, then he/she should speak to the BBC in order to ban Dr Who!

As for the Scuttle-Heads being a distraction, perhaps the resident could contact the Highways Agency again to remove the ever-growing plethora of road signs telling motorists what they can and cannot do.

Oh, and also ask for an Arundel bypass, please.

Stuart McFadyen,
Upper Drive,
East Preston
