ON behalf of myself and all committee members, we would like to say a big thank you to all who supported the Littlehampton Carnival on Saturday.
I would personally like to thank the committee, who have worked tirelessly over the past 12 months with their fund-raising activities, ensuring that the carnival went ahead.

At one time, it was thought that this may be the last carnival, with ri
sing costs and health and safety issues.

It was becoming extremely hard to raise the funds and to try to escape from being buried under mounds of paperwork!

But all participants pulled out the stops to make this year's carnival the biggest and best that we have had for the last few years.

I would also like to thank our main sponsors, traders, collectors, spectators, marshals, Sussex Police, the parents of our royalty, our Carnival Queen and Princesses, Junior Queen, and Flower Girls and everyone else involved in the carnival.

It has been a truly wonderful event and I hope to see you all next year!

Freda Hughes
Littlehampton Carnival president,
East Street,
