I AM sorry Mr Raywood (Gazette letters, November 13) did not enjoy the Littlehampton Remembrance ceremony.
He obviously has no inkling of the problem of finding a trumpeter to play the Last Post, so a tape is used as a last resort.
If Mr Raywood had approached the Legion members, it would have been explained to him why.
The exhortation was said and
the response given.
I can only assume he was too far away to hear.
The National Anthem was played by the band and rendered quite well by all present.
I would therefore take this opportunity to thank the band, the many cadets, Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Beavers, St John Ambulance, the fire brigade, RNLI and also the police, for their assistance.
Of course, if the writer wishes to help organise next year's parade, he could always join the Legion.
