I have been to this restaurant a number of times and have ALWAYS loved it. I married my amazing wife in July 2010 and she mentioned that she would like to experience this place - so, we ventured there this evening. WOW! This is a really wonderful place. As soon as you enter, the owner welcomes you with such lovely warmth and hospitable spirit - he really makes you feel special and his attention to detail is really heart-warming. We were shown to a lovely seating area where we enjoyed a perfect G and T, some amazing home-made blue cheese dip and crudites and were given time to explore the menu and the "specials board". Having this time is so unsusual these days. We offered our selection and were then shown to our table overlooking the amazing seaside view through perfectly cleaned windows - a real Bella Vista. Fabulous wine list and wonderful starters and main courses - perfectly cooked (the lamb was tremendous) - beautiful vegetable accompaniments and great wine. The customer-care was second to none - friendly, kind, helpful and always warm and good-humoured. We felt so special and were so well looked after - a real treat and not something we always find these days. This is a traditional restaurant - not state of the art and designer modern and thank goodness! At Bella Vista you will get a memorable meal (where you will not leave hungry!), with food that will completely satisfy. You do have to pay higher prices for it, but you will not feel short-changed. The whole experience, ambience, service and wonderful food gives you great value for money - pay a little more and get a meal that you will talk about in the future. Our sweets were fabulous. My wife asked for a Zabaglione - she had not had one is years - and thoroughly enjoyed it and was more than happy to wait for chef to create one - in many restaurants, it's off the menu because "chef" can't be bothered to take the time to make one (or does not have the know how!). We left with a warm "farewell" from the owner and wonderful host. We were thrilled with our evening - a real jewel in our holiday together. We loved every moment of our time at the Bella Vista and will certainly return. Thanks to everyone there that made our evening so special.
